Attendance Awareness Month-Every Friday in September!

September is Attendance Awareness Month, and we’re excited to partner with families to build strong habits that help every child thrive. Consistent, on-time attendance boosts learning, confidence, and classroom community—every day truly matters!

To add a little fun and momentum, we’re hosting Spirit Days every Friday in September (Sept. 12, 19, 26). Learners and Educators are invited to participate while following the school dress code.

September Spirit Day Lineup

  • Fri, Sept. 12 – Hats Off To Good Attendance
    Wear a fun or favorite hat to celebrate coming to school.

  • Fri, Sept. 19 –Pajama Day – Rested & Ready
    Wear school-appropriate pajamas to show you’re rested and ready to learn by being in class.

  • Fri, Sept. 26 –Grow Every Day You Show!
    Everyone wears green to show they are “growing strong” with great attendance.

Incentives & Recognition

  • Weekly shout-outs for homerooms with the highest attendance.

  • End-of-month celebration for the class with the best overall September attendance.

Reminders

  • Participation must meet dress code as outlined by the DCBOE.
